Plan of Salvation

The plan of salvation that God has given us is a simple process that is outlined in His Word. Accepting that Jesus Christ died for your sins is as simple as believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth that you accept Him as your personal Lord and Savior. 

Once you have accepted Jesus Christ into your life, you have become a child of God and you need to get to know your heavenly Father. God knows all about you, but you need to know Him in an intimate and personal way. One way to do this is through prayer. Prayer is just talking with God. Make prayer a part of your life; for example, ask God to bless your food. Another thing you must do to get to know God is to have daily Bible study and meditation. Set aside a specific time each day to read your Bible. Start with the New Testament; read as much as you are personally able to grasp. For some it may be one verse. For others, it may be one chapter.

Now that you are born again, it is important for you to join a Bible-believing, Bible-teaching church. It is the Word of God that will keep you steadfast in your walk with Him. God’s Word says that faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

Here at From the Heart Church Ministries of Houston, we offer several activities that will help you to grow as a Christian. You do not have to be a member to take advantage of Men’s Fellowship, Women of God: Lifegivers, Church School, Sunday Worship Services, and Wednesday Night Bible Study.
